Issue 41: #WeektoWeekendGuam Bucketlist, anyone?
Discover these island gems with your ultimate week-to-weekend bucket list
Hey friends!
March is Mes CHamoru (CHamoru Heritage Month). Last year, we took four amazing road trips around the island, which deepened our appreciation for our beautiful island and our desire to share its magic with others. This year, we curated a fun bucket list so you can eat, learn, and play throughout the month.

#WeektoWeekendGuam Bucket List
Here's a quick week-to-weekend bucket list to get you going this month. We turned these into a quick itinerary.
Week to Weekend Natural Wonders Bucket List
🤿 Go Diving or Snorkeling at Piti Bomb Holes
Take a trip to our island's central/southern part along the Piti coastline and dive or snorkel at the Piti Bomb Holes. Guam's waters are unmatched, and the views of the Piti Bay blues bring you up close to marine life. Plenty of fish are on this side of Guam as it's part of a reserve that restricts fishing. Occasionally, you can spot reef sharks and barracudas. Don't want to get wet? Explore the underwater observatory next door at Fish Eye instead.
🐓 Take a Tour of UOG Triton’s Farm
The UOG Triton Farm is a community-supported research and education farm located in the village of Yigo. The 4.5-acre farm features 15 economic crops, including local hot peppers, breadfruit, bananas, taro, and organic farming techniques and hands-on learning. Call text or WhatsApp for inquiries and tours at 671-686-6980.
🥾 Hike Mt. Låmlam for the Sunrise
Considered the tallest mountain in the world (technically, if you start at its base at the bottom of the ocean), the southern mountain range is a sight to see in the early morning from the peak of Mt. Låmlam. The mountain stands above 1,332 feet above sea level and takes about a 2.7-mile hike. Always hike with others and bring flashlights.
🌴 Tour Litekyan’s Caves or Latte Village
Located in northern Guam, the ancient village of Litekyan, commonly known as Ritidian, is nestled within the protective embrace of the Guam Wildlife Refuge. Within its coastal forests, native wildlife and sea creatures thrive. It is home to the last remaining populations of the Mariana crow, Mariana fruit bat, and Serianthes nelsonii tree. With a rich historical tapestry, Litekyan bears evidence of humanity's earliest footsteps on the island.
Week to Weekend Cultural Excursions Bucket List
🦶 Explore the village Humåtak on foot
Humåtak is Guam’s second oldest village. Along the bay, you'll find remains of the former Spanish governor's residence, the site of the old San Dionisio church, and Fort Nuestra Señora de la Soledåd. This is also where Portuguese seafarer and navigator Ferdinand Magellan landed, and through his escapades, he renamed Guam the "Islands of Thieves."🥥
🌺 Take cultural workshops
There’s nothing like fresh-baked bread right from a wood-fired oven. Dating back to the 1920s, cultural practitioner Tony Mantanona has mastered this craft and shared his gifts during this workshop.

🥘 Week to Weekend Local Flavors Bucket List
🍺 Grab a “flight” of local brews at Antigu Brewing
What’s more comforting than enjoying local brews paired with stunning sunset views? Located along Marine Corps Drive in Hagåtña, Antigu Brewing offers just that. This hole-in-the-wall local brewery specializes in crafting artisan ales, embracing homegrown ingredients and traditions. Their ever-changing tap menu is a thirst quencher, featuring our favorite — dUBE SNACKS. Take a flight by sampling four of their brews. In the mood for bubbly sans the poison? Their House Sodas are simply refreshing, like the Blueberry Mint and the unique Honeydew Cream.
🍽️ Get all your favorite CHamoru dishes in one sitting at Capitol Kitchen’s lunch buffet
Red rice, short ribs, parrot fish, kådu and hågan suni, too?! All your favorite island dishes in one lunch buffet Monday through Saturday.
🍨 Cool down with delicious plant-based ice cream at Asiga (they moved!)
Our favorite spot for plant-based ice cream, soft serve, and cookies. It's a delicious cool-down treat, infused with local flavors like pandan + vanilla and Earl Grey + lavender. Their sea salt chocolate cookies are so buttery and delicious!
🍬 Head on over to Chamorro Village and get some bite-sized coconut candies
Coconut Tree Company has the perfect bite-sized sweet coconut treats. Our favorite childhood candies are now available in adorable packaging, making them perfect sweet gifts.
