We’re officially in the middle of summer, but one of the many magical things about living in Guam is that we get to enjoy these summer vibes year-round. The ocean is just a drive away, and we find solace in Mother Nature’s healing properties. Whether it’s physical healing, emotional comfort, or a spiritual cleanse, saltwater therapy works in magical ways – much like other natural and environmental energies that help us thrive.

🌊 Salt Water Therapy for the Body & Soul

Growing up, I suffered from horrible eczema. San Bernadino’s dry heat agitated my skin, and after countless visits to doctors, they could not tell my parents what was making my skin break into hives. After moving to Guam, a local doctor told my parents to take me to the ocean and let the salt water be my remedy.
Mother Ocean's natural properties worked better than antibiotics or ointments. The salty waters soothed my itchy flare-ups, and eventually, my eczema disappeared altogether.
I have come to see our tåsi as our beloved friend and companion. As a swimmer, it has provided itself to me as an underwater exploratorium. As a writer, it has given me a space to float with my thoughts. As an energy worker, it has cleansed and guided me, providing a portal to channel for others.
I owe much of my healing to the ocean, and saltwater therapy has become a profound and enduring remedy.

Journaling has many benefits. Not only does it help you process and release some of your thoughts and emotions, but it also helps to create order, especially if you feel like you’re operating from a place of chaos. While creative chaos is good in our lives, taking a breather to reflect occasionally doesn't hurt.

Throughout the documentary, we are met with the theme of surrendering and human mortality. We are given an up-close view of a world beyond the ocean's surface and an intimate glimpse into their relationship. It reveals how deeply you can love the ocean and how that love can also tear you apart.
